Testnet Phase 2

The phase 2 Testnet will include core contracts and consensus activation, all these mechanisms need to be activated together due to interdependence on each other to function properly. These include:

  • Laïka Bridge

  • Consensus Activation to write packages on Doge Mainnet

  • Validator-Sequencer Proof Verification

  • Account Abstraction Layer

  • and more Dapps for interaction

Laïka Bridge:

The Laïka Bridge will allow movement between multiple blockchains, but most importantly it will allow movement of Doge and whitelisted DRC20 from Dogecoin Mainnet to Laïka Testnet, the amount of Doge allowed to be bridged will be restricted to 10 Doge per address due to the nature of the testnet and possibility of users accidentally transferring/losing funds on the Testnet.

The bridge will also allow movement of approved tokens between Ethereum Sepolia Testnet/Solana and Laïka Testnet, these will allow movement of ETH, and certain tokens like USDT, PEPE and more.

AA (Account Abstraction) Layer:

Account Abstraction relies on Bridge functionality to relay messages between both Layers , thus Account Abstractions requires bridge to be completely functional before it can be activated. Once the AA Layer is activated users will be able to use their existing Dogecoin Wallets to directly interact with compatible Layer 2 Dapps , due to the nature of AA Layer, transactions done through this Layer will require a transaction to be conducted on the Dogecoin Mainnet thus incurring transaction fees with real Doge.

Consensus Activations:

As the Laïka Consensus is highly dependent upon the Bridge, the core consensus mechanisms will be activated in the second phase, this will include Proof generation, submission and verification on Laïka Testnet and Dogecoin Mainnet, due to strict requirements of proofs to be verified once this mechanism is activated to prevent chain security halts , all existing blocks in the Phase1 will be processed on Doge Mainnet in a special one time package, after that packages will be processed regularly on Doge just like they would on Laïka Mainnet.

Another core consensus mechanism which will be altered for Bridge balance verifications, as Laïka Testnet needs to offer faucet it , the circulating supply of Doge on Laïka Testnet will always be higher than what will be locked in bridge vault in Dogecoin Mainnet, this also violates a core consensus requirement, which in mainnet would result in a halt. The core contracts will be altered and deployed just before activation of Phase 2 due to this reason.

The considerations are only present and possible on Testnet as core contracts are being altered and deployed afterwards, in the mainnet these contracts and all mechanisms will be present and not modifiable since the very first block, thus making these changes impossible on Laïka Mainnet.
